Coke

Hi readers!

This is a new blog session, where I wrote about coke, the most famous soda around the world. ¿Why?, because Coke have a story that not everyone knows.

Have your mom, dad, grandparents ever told you when you have a headache, something like: go to buy a coke, because you feel better after that you drink it, or, did you heard the above somewhere? Well, this have an explanation. 

Jhon Stith Pemberton was an American Pharmacist, who is best known as the inventor of Coca-Cola (soda). How?, He was an addict to the morphine and in 1866 he was looking for a cure for this addiction, and for that reason, he wanted to supply the morphine with a syrup that produce the same pleasure that produce this drug. Therefore, in a moment the coke had 9 milligrams to cocaine per recommended portion, and then, when he realized that the cocaine was addictive, he replace again the cocaine with caffeine. 

When de coke was a medicine, this was considered as brain tonic and nerve stimulator, and for this reason the people suggested when you had a headache, because the coke relieved neuralgia, headaches, melancholia, hysteria, and many other diseases.
